We enjoy living and working in Coimbra, but sometimes it’s important to get out of your comfort zone, travel and meet new people. So, after our short trip to London for news:rewired, we decided to go to San Francisco and launch Bundlr publicly while we were there. It was just a shame we couldn’t go with other folks from Portuguese startups, and neither our newest team member, Pedro Gaspar.
In the start, it was a bit hard to find out where all the startup scene was in San Francisco. But thankfully we went during the WWDC conference and the Internet Week in New York (where we also stayed for a couple of days), so there were all kinds of events happening at the same time. There we had the chance to meet lots of great folks and a bit of what it is to be in the center of almost everything happening online.
You can see the photos from our trip in Bundlr’s facebook page.
Portuguese folks, don’t worry, were not leaving Coimbra anytime soon. We will make more trips like this in the future though. The experience is really valuable. Maybe we’ll be able to start doing user meetups around the world, who knows…
